Privacy policy.
Plain English, because you shouldn't need a lawyer to work out what happens to your details.
Who we are
OnOvo IT provides IT support services to businesses in Melbourne, Victoria. Our office is in Tarneit, VIC 3029. You can reach us at Support@onovoit.com.au or 03 7057 1878.
What we collect
We only collect what you type into this website. That means your name, business name, email address, phone number and whatever you write in the message field of the contact form; the answers you give the Ovo assistant, including any appointment time you pick; and your answers to the IT risk check, along with your email address if you ask us to send you the breakdown.
You can complete the risk check and see your score without giving us any contact details at all. Ovo lets you finish without booking a call. Nothing on this site is a condition of getting a result.
What we do with it
Your answers are emailed to our support mailbox so a person can read them and get back to you. If you booked a time, you also receive a confirmation email and a calendar invitation. That is the whole of it.
We do not store your enquiry in a customer database, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing. We contact you about the enquiry you made, and if you tell us not to, we stop.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and carries no advertising tracker. Nothing here follows you to other websites.
We do count visits. Vercel, who host this site, tell us how many people opened each page, roughly where in the world they came from, whether they were on a phone or a computer, and which site sent them. They also measure how fast each page loaded. It is counting, not watching: no cookie is set, no identifier is stored on your device, and nothing collected can be traced back to you as a person.
We use it to see which pages are worth keeping and which are too slow. That is genuinely all.
Ovo, and automated decisions
Ovo is the chat window in the corner. It is a fixed set of questions with a fixed set of replies — not an AI, and not connected to one. Nothing you tell it is used to train anything, and it makes no decisions about you: every answer goes to a person who reads it and replies.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling anywhere on this site.
Third parties
Three parts of this site load content from other companies, which means those companies can see your IP address and basic browser information when the content loads. They are: the map on our contact page and the calendar invitation links (Google), and the animated 3D scene on our home page (Spline). We do not send any of your enquiry details to them.
Our email is hosted by Hostinger, so your message passes through their mail servers on the way to us — the same as any email you send to any business.
This website itself is hosted by Vercel, who therefore handle the page-view and speed measurements described above.
Keeping it secure
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and enquiries are transmitted to our mailbox over an encrypted mail connection. Access to that mailbox is restricted to us.
No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say so than promise otherwise. If something ever went wrong in a way that could put you at risk, we would tell you.
Information belonging to our clients
This policy covers the website. When we work on your systems under a support agreement, we may come into contact with information you hold — including, for dental and medical practices, patient records. We handle that information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles, we only access what the job requires, and we only do so with your authorisation. Those obligations are set out in your service agreement rather than here.
Seeing or deleting your information
Email us at Support@onovoit.com.au and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We do not charge for this and we do not need a reason. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first so we can fix it — and if we cannot resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change how this site handles your information, we will update this page. This version was last updated in September 2026.
