Melbourne-based
If your local IT isn't answering after 5pm, we will.
Most IT providers close at 5pm and disappear until Monday. But businesses don't. Saturday trade keeps going, the late shift still needs the system up, and servers pick Sunday morning to fail. That gap is where a day's revenue quietly disappears — whether you run a dental practice, a warehouse or an accounting firm.

Evenings, not voicemail
We're reachable until 9pm on weekdays — the hours when your team is still working and your current provider has gone home.
Saturdays covered
Saturday gets the same support as a Tuesday morning. No premium call-out fee for daring to open on a weekend.
Sunday emergency line
If your server dies before a full Monday, you can reach a person on Sunday. We'd rather fix it overnight than have you open to chaos.
Keep your current provider
This isn't a takeover pitch. Most clients start with us purely for the hours their provider doesn't cover, and we're glad to work alongside them. If you later decide you'd rather we handled everything, just ask — but nobody's going to push you there.

Most providers wait for a ticket, then spend the first hour working out how your systems fit together. We learn that up front — and watch for the warning signs before your first customer walks in.

Straight from the person who'll answer your call
“Ten years in IT, the last five almost entirely inside dental practices — and the same thing kept happening everywhere we looked. A business would ring its IT provider at 5:30 and get voicemail. Or get through, and spend the first half hour explaining how the place actually runs.”
Dentistry is where we went deepest, so that’s where we’re fastest — but nothing about being ignored after 5pm is unique to dentists. We’re building our Melbourne client base now, which means businesses who come on board early get a level of attention a bigger provider can’t match — and we’d rather earn a reference than claim one.
What it costs, before you have to ask
Most providers make you book a call before they'll name a number. Ours are published — fixed monthly, no callout fees, and what's charged on top written down alongside what isn't.
Monthly cover or pay as you go — no contract required either way.
The things people actually ask us
Can you cover after-hours only, alongside our current IT provider?
Yes — that's how most practices start with us. Your existing provider keeps the 9-to-5, and we pick up evenings, Saturdays and the Sunday emergency line. There's no requirement to move everything across, and no awkward conversation with your current provider needed. If you later decide you'd rather we handled the lot, just say so.
What actually counts as after-hours support?
We're reachable Monday to Friday until 9pm and Saturdays 8am to 4pm, with a 9am to 5pm emergency line on Sundays and public holidays. That's a real person, not a voicemail box that gets checked on Monday. Automated monitoring runs around the clock regardless.
We already have an IT provider. Is switching painful?
It shouldn't be, and it's on us to make it that way. We document your setup, collect licences and passwords, and cut over outside surgery hours. Most practices notice nothing beyond a new number to call. You don't need to have the awkward conversation with your current provider either — we can handle the handover directly.
What if our current provider holds all our passwords?
That's common and it's recoverable. Where credentials aren't handed over, we regain control at the source — domain registrar, Microsoft 365 tenant, firewall, practice software vendor. It's part of onboarding, not an extra charge.
Are we locked into a contract?
No. We work month to month. If we're not earning our keep you can leave with 30 days' notice and we'll hand over everything to whoever comes next, properly documented.
What happens if something breaks and you can't fix it remotely?
We come to you. On-site visits are included in the Growing practice plan and above, and we're Melbourne-based so it's same day, not next week. A chair that isn't running is costing you money by the hour — we treat it that way.
Do you actually know dental software, or just general IT?
Dental specifically — Dental4Windows, Exact, Praktika and Core Practice, plus imaging like Romexis, Sidexis, Carestream and Vatech, and HICAPS and Tyro terminals. That's the whole reason OnOvo exists: general IT providers learn your practice software on your time.
How do you handle patient data?
Under the Australian Privacy Principles. Backups are encrypted, access is restricted to named technicians, and we can walk you through exactly who can see what. If you ever need to answer that question for a patient or an auditor, we'll help you answer it.
